Overdrive's touring vehicle (formerly known as the Digital Bookmobilehttps://urldefense.com/v3/__https:/www.flickr.com/photos/digitalbookmobile/__;!!P1w4qL2BkQ!-VbYeiAM0dN8HCBslA33q6ZD2GpWDs_BZrYalMqoQUgD-TjrNl69x6uHQ9YR1oXZ29t0NpX2hm0jkUaMsGKZBObpLFGc$) is returning to the road for the first time since March of 2020.
They sent me the following message because they would love to have Wyoming on the tour. They will be on their way from Oregon back to Chicago and wanted to know if any Wyoming libraries are interested. If you are interested, let me know (with the contact information of who should be contacted). I will send them a list of the libraries and they can look at maps and see which fits in with the travel plans the best. I've seen the touring vehicle and it's pretty cool and certainly eye catching. Thanks, Kate

From physical materials to career services, creative services, programs, and of course, your digital collections, we want to highlight it all.

Our truck will be traveling across America for 12-weeks this summer to libraries to showcase these items and help patrons through the steps of using services. We would love to include a branch of Virtual Library of Wyoming on our tour, and we're targeting August 30 and 31 for two potential stops.

Aside from library branches, if there are community events on either of these days we could participate in, we'd be happy to be there. We'd like to do what we can to bring new users into the library system!

Our visits are completely free for your library! We provide the vehicle, staff, and all associated equipment, power, and even Wi-Fi. We ask that the location selected meets the following criteria to make the event as successful as possible:

  • Parking that is paved and provides a space that is at least 55' long by 25' wide (approximately 7 consecutive parking spaces long and 2 parking spaces wide)
  • Parking near/adjacent to the library, for optimum library traffic
  • Can meet a minimum event time of 3 hours
  • At least 1 library staff member to work with our staff during operating event hours
