Update on Recent VDX Issues

Hello ILL Community,

We have received a notification from OCLC regarding an issue with VDX. On
August 24 and 25, a patch in OCLC’s ISO software, which allows VDX to
communicate with WorldShare regarding requests, malfunctioned. This caused
the software to mark certain requests as either “Checked-In” or “Cancelled”
in VDX regardless of their actual status.

OCLC’s VDX Support is working on identifying these individual requests, but
if your library needs to make changes to the status of the item in the
meantime, you can do so by using your WorldShare account to manage the
request going forward.

Remember: this will sever the ISO connection, and the request will be dead
in VDX after any changes are made in WorldShare. If you do make changes in
WorldShare, remember to mark the item as “Complete” in VDX as well to
prevent confusion and clutter.

We thank you for your patience during this time, and we will keep you
updated on any further developments.

Best,
