Good Morning,
Happy Friday! I hope everyone has had a good week.
I have an update on some of the State's shared simultaneous use
collections. Currently we are subscribed to two
simultaneous use collections, Magazines and the All Access Comics
collection. Access to the magazine collection is not changing. We are
continuing to subscribe to that collection. However, we will not be
renewing the subscription to All Access Comics. There are a few factors in
this decision, but it is mainly due to its constant fluctuation in content
and difficulty in curation.
The subscription will expire on April 14th and should no longer be shown in
the general collection as of April 15th. All comics and graphic novels
purchased separately will not be affected. The only comics that will be
removed from the collection are those in the simultaneous use comics
collection.
The money that was being used to purchase the comics collection will still
be used on our Overdrive collection, most likely in purchasing items
to keep hold rates low.
Again- access to the magazine collection is not changing.
If you have any questions or need clarification, please let me know.
Have a lovely day and weekend.
