As you may be aware, UW Libraries has purchased the ArtistWorks platform as an addition to the Libby/OverDrive platform that we all share. We thought it might be helpful to produce some marketing materials and share them with our public counterparts to help promote this new eResource.

Some suggested social media copy might look something like this (this is probably what we will use, so feel free to riff off it, but please consider making it slightly different).

🎡 Always wanted to learn an instrument but couldn't find the right lessons? Look no further! 🎸🎹

Introducing ArtistWorks, where you can get world-class instruction from Grammy Award-winning professionals! 🌟

Why try ArtistWorks?

  • Self-paced lessons
  • Learn many different instruments
  • Accessible anywhere
  • Basic and advanced instruction
Get started with ArtistWorks on OverDrive and Libby, the one-tap reading app available in the Apple Store and Google Play. Start your musical journey today! 🎢✨

Additionally, here is a great example of a news/blog post promoting ArtistWorks: https://aclibrary.org/news/new-eresource-artistworks-a-libby-extra/

You will find several print and digital assets at the following link: [cid:image001.png@01DAADBA.1BFA4600] ArtistWorks Marketing Assetshttps://uwy-my.sharepoint.com/:f:/g/personal/jkirk3_uwyo_edu/EirfcLQ_NpxMq73cvOQHZ_4BAo2uuUP5PGMmqmU1kCWdiA?e=wUTLgg (this link should allow you to view and download).

In the print assets, you will find the following:

  • 24x36 sandwich board size

  • 8.5x11 and 11x17 posters

  • 8.5x11 4 up handbills
In the social media/digital assets, you will find the following:

  • one single 'grid' post with less text that will need copy to accompany the post to explain the new feature (less text on social media imagery gets higher engagement and is better for accessibility purposes)

  • A multi-social grid post option - this will work best with the Instagram platform for end-users to scroll through and if you have a link in bio on your page, you can direct patrons to: https://libbyapp.com/

  • Several options for Instagram/Facebook stories. We suggest inserting the Libby app link on these as well.
UW Libraries will issue a news release on Tuesday next week to announce the addition; it will be sent to all statewide outlets and the WSL. These designs were created in Canva, so if you wish to have a template to resize it into a different option (i.e., website imagery), feel free to contact Jennifer Kirk at jkirk3@uwyo.edumailto:jkirk3@uwyo.edu (please note she will be out of the office June 3-14, so please anticipate a delayed response to requests sent during that time period).
