VDX Work Queue Tip

Hi all!

Some of you have inquired about the Work Queue and items returned number (see attachment and circled number).  I encourage you all to take a look at your library's work queue information, specifically items returned to your library.  IF you look at this weekly and your number is small (and current), you don't need to worry about this; however, if you rarely look at this have quite a few dating back a few years (or more), you can print the list out and when you have time, check for each item on the shelves.  Chances are, the items have been returned and updated in WorkFlows, but it was not updated in VDX to "checked in."  This can be an opportunity to re-train those who may be assisting you with your processes.  Note: If the item isn't on the shelf and no longer listed in your catalog, the item may have been discarded.

Bottom line, a daily check of "Renewal Requests" and "Returned" helps clean up VDX Work Queue information.  Let us know if you have questions (or answers)!
